I was part of the editing team, handling many of the stories in the week after CEO Sam Altman's firing. The judges applauded the work for provided “good, real-time context for what was happening at the firm.”

I was part of an editing and reporting team that took readers into the changes sweeping the venture capital industry, as deep-pocketed Wall Street firms sunk billions of dollars into tech startups. “Thoroughly sourced in a business that is often highly secretive, the stories explained the genesis of the changes and demonstrated their impact on how startups are funded,” wrote the judges.

I was part of the editing and reporting team that won an award for our coverage of startups during the turbulence of 2020. “This entry offers a strong overview of the setbacks of tech startups at the start of the pandemic and their unlikely comeback,” wrote the judges.
